To Him who gives seed to the sower and bread to the eater we come unto today. Hallelujah to the Most High who was and is and is to come. I am that I am is His name. I welcome you to another edition of Dominion Voice. It gives me great joy to know you are there to feed at His feet. The Lord bless you abundantly.
Today we shall be reviewing what make a difference between one Christian to the other; which is understanding. No matter your age and experience in the faith, without understanding it makes no difference hence you are a child and not a son.
Gal 4:1 reads, Now I say that the heir as long as he is a child, does not differ at all from a slave though he
is master of all. Beloved, what makes the heir to come of age to being a son is understanding. Without understanding though he is a master of all yet differs not from a slave.John 8:32 reads “And you shall know the truth and the truth shall make you free”.
I have come to realize that a whole lot of Christians knows the truth but do not understand the truth. Without understanding the truth, it is just an ordinary information. Just like people know the truth of a trade however if they do not understand the dynamics or working of that trade they may likely lose their whole savings or investment. It is the truth that you know and understands that makes you free.
Matt 13:23 reads “But he who received seed on the good ground is he who hears the word and understands it, who indeed bears fruits and produces; some a hundredfold, some sixty, some thirty.
It is he who hears the word (truth) and understands it that bears the fruits in multiples of hundreds, sixty and some thirty. This is to say the level of your understanding of the truth is directly proportional to the produce of the fruits; hence understanding determines. It is not enough to know or be aware of the truth but you must have an understanding of the truth.
Prov 7:6-7 reads For at the window of my house I looked though my lattice. And saw among the youths, a young man devoid of understanding verse 10 reads further and there a woman met him with the attire of a harlot and a crafty heart verses 21 and 22 reads further still, “with her enticing speech she caused him to yield, with her flattering lips she seduced him. Immediately he went after her, as an ox goes to the slaughter.
Please take the pleasure of reading the entire chapter 7. The simple truth lacking that led this young man as an oxen that goes to the slaughter is that he lacked or was void of understanding. If he had deep understanding of what he was doing he may perhaps have had a re-think on his actions. Even the disciples of Jesus though heard the truth (word) directly from the source of truth yet did not comprehend until he opened their understanding. Not until then were they able to comprehend the scriptures.
Luke 24:44-45 reads “Then He said to them, “These are the words which I spoke to you while I was still with you, that all things must be fulfilled which were written in the laws of Moses and prophets and the Psalms concerning me”.
And He opened their understanding, that they might comprehend the scriptures. Without the risen Jesus opening their understanding they could not be benefited by the truth of the word even though they knew the truth in their
head and not their heart.
Understanding is what brings the truth from the head level to the heart level. It is the truth that settled in your heart that makes the whole lot of difference in a man’s life.
2cor 3:6 reads who also made us sufficient as ministers of the new covenant, not of the letter but of the spirit; for the letter kills, but the spirit gives life.
The truth that stays in the head and not the heart kills and profits nothing, but when the spirit of God comes upon
it, it leaves the realm of the head and moves deep down into the heart.
Eph 1:17-18 reads that the God of our Lord Jesus Christ, the Father of glory, may give to you the Spirit of Wisdom and revelation in the knowledge of Him, the eyes of your understanding being enlightened; that you may know what is the hope of His calling, what the riches of the glory of His inheritance in the Saints.
Without your eyes of understanding being opened or enlightened, your knowledge of the hope of His calling and the riches of his glory of His inheritance in the saint is in vain. Understanding determines your depth and what you are
able to have access to in the Kingdom. Without understanding Eccl 10:7 comes to pass which reads, I have seen servants on horses, while princes walk on the ground like servants. Lack of understanding reduces princes to slaves, for a man’s mountain is his ignorance. In all that you do, please do not stop at knowing the truth, but seek to understand at all times, for it is in understanding that you shall have mastery of all truth. Understanding determines.
Shalom!
