The world we live in today is a world of instant result. A very fast and dynamic world wherein no one is willing to wait for anyone who seems not fast enough to grasp the issues of life that comes up from time to time. Everyone wants instant result. Either now or never is the chorused song. This attitude quiet unfortunately is creeping into the church among the believers, which ought not to be so. Many times we forget that God is not a magician who touches a flower with a stick and immediately turns to a dove. We forget to note that there is a process to go through with God. Today, miracles are the most sought after among believers, yet we forget that there is something better than miracles, which is to be blessed. A man that is blessed does not need a miracle. When you are blessed you have all things handy that is within reach being provided for by God. When you are blessed with health, you do not need miracles of healing, likewise when you are blessed financially, you do not need a miracle to get your financial obligations met. Beloved you cannot have five million in your account and go around requesting for a miracle of five hundred thousand naira only. This is because you are blessed beyond your immediate meet.
However, if you need five million naira and you have five hundred thousand naira, then you may say you need a miracle. In Jesus name I declare you blessed. The blessing of God makes rich and adds no sorrow to it. Please understand that being blessed is a process from above. It is not just something that drops as a manner from above. To be blessed, we all must to understand the process. Enough of praying for blessing without making effort to know what to do to be blessed. You cannot continue to quote scriptures and prayer only and expect that someone somewhere will come and deliver it on your laps just like that. Yes, it does happen once in a while, but you cannot continue to live your life on a one-off approach, a fire bridged approach at all times.
Gen 26: 12-14 reads, “Then Isaac sowed in that land and reaped in the same year a hundred fold and the Lord blessed him. The man began to prosper, and continued prospering until he became very prosperous: for he had possessions of flocks and possession of herds and great number of servants. So the Philistines envied him”.
Isaac is a child of covenant; the covenant that rested on Abraham was passed directly down to him that is to say he was not a heathen. He is a true heir of the covenant. That not withstanding, for the blessing of God to become obvious on his life, he sowed in the land. At this time there was famine just like it is in the land today, but he sowed in the land and in the same year he reaped a hundred fold. He knew the covenant was a major enhancement that put him ahead of other. He knew the principle of seedtime and harvest time will not cease. He knew that the Most High God would always prosper the work of his hands hence if nothing was in his hand, there is nothing for the covenant to work upon. Where others sowed and reaped nothing, he sowed in the same place and he reaped a hundred fold. Is that not amazing, that is what the covenant will so for you. As Isaac sowed the process began, he began to prosper and continued prospering until he became very prosperous.
He did not just become very prosperous within a week. He patiently observed the rules of seedtime and harvest time. He did not just wished it, but he worked at it and observed the process. As the process continued within the three hundred and sixty-five days, it came to a point; the Philistines began to envy him. Beloved, there is a process for wealth; there is a process for increase there is a process for harvest time to come. Do not rely on miracles always, but ensure you are blessed. Let God bless the work of you hand. Bring your handy work to God and let Him bless you abundantly. Begin the process now, begin to work. Whatever you hand finds to do, do it well. A penny earned is better than a pound given free, better still, a kobo earned is better than one hundred naira given free. Don’t get it free, but earn it. The covenant is available to you to make you excel above all your peers, why don’t you take advantage of it. To be continued next week. Shalom!
