Welcome to God’s presence as we continue on the above referred subject, which we commenced last week. Please note that it is not enough to read this message without applying it to your life, for it is the truth you know and practice that eventually sets you free. It is not enough to know a truth without practice.
It is better you do not know the truth at all than to know and do nothing about it. Doubt we established last week was what made Angel Gabriel, an angel to pass judgment on God’s Priest and messenger. We established that when we doubt God, we drop from our exalted position where we rightly belong.
However, when we take God by His words and believe Him without any oata of doubt we become like Him. For with God all things are possible. Furthermore, all things are possible to him that believeth. When we believe God, all things become possible for His strength becomes our strength, His hands becomes our hands, His personality becomes our personality. Issues that are naturally impossible with the natural man becomes possible. Rom 4:19-21 narrate the experience that led to Abraham having the child of promise at a very old age when all medical indicator
reflect that it was absolutely impossible for child bearing again but he refused to look at all naturally true medical indications to believing God for the naturally impossible.
Rom 4: 19-20 reads “And being not weak in faith he considered not his own body now dead, when he was about an hundred years old, neither yet the deadness of Sarah’s womb:
He staggered not at the promise of God through unbelief; but was strong in faith, giving glory to God. Abraham did not doubt God. He did not allow the unbelief, which came from medical science to prevent him from believing God. At one hundred years of age, he did not consider his own body now dead, nor even consider the deadness of Sarah’s womb. This is to say as far as he was concerned the faith of Sarah could not stop him from getting a child at that age from Sarah’s womb. Yes, of course, Sarah’s faith was at zero level at this time, no wonder she laughed when the angel of the Lord came to notify Abraham that Sarah was going to have a child for him by this season next year.
Abraham’s faith was so strong that it overruled the decision and the doubt of his wife-Sarah. He was so sure that the promises of God couldn’t go without being fulfilled. And at the set time the child of promise came. Yes, at the set time, please note that many people have missed out at their set time because they have doubted God and His word.
Jam 1:6-8 reads “But let him ask in faith with no doubting for he who doubts is like a wave of the sea driven and tossed by the wind. For let not that man suppose that he will receive anything from the Lord; he is a double-minded man, unstable in all his ways.
Anytime you live in doubt, you become disqualified for the miracle you believe God for. The scriptures says anyone who doubt is a double-minded man, unstable in all his ways, such a fellow should not think of receiving anything from the Lord. Even if you vacate your house to live on the mountaintop seeking God in fasting and prayer, as long as you have doubt, you cannot have the desired result from God. Doubt is indeed a killer of joy. It makes our joy not to be full, because many prayers are left unanswered.
Please note that God is not a sentimental God. He would not because of certain sentiment break the principles that are laid down in His word. Even if you shed so many tears as to fill a bucket, hoping to prevail on God to realign His word, you are only allowing your mind to deceive you because of such actions of yours. Don’t give in to doubt, it is
stopper and stealer of joy. However fill your life with faith and it only comes by continuous hearing and doing the word of God. Shalom!
