Apart from the fact that prayers brings us close to God and takes us away from sin, the beauty of prayer is when we have answers to the request being put forward to the Most High God.
The more your prayers are answered the more you will love to pray so the more the confidence you have toward God. Prayers is very important in the life of every believer because it is the source of our strength, it is the hope that we have in God. It strengthens our relationship with God at all times. A whole lot of believers seek refuge where there is no refuge because they have not being able to get their prayers answered by God. They refuse to realise that God is bound by His Word and He will not change the principles that governs His word because of one or two or a couple of His children who will not take out time to observe the principle that governs His word. What they refuse to know is that God has a lot of children worldwide and He would not break His word because of one of His children who refuses to take note of the details of His word. God is never partial. If He could forsake Jesus on the cross because He was carrying the sins of the whole world because His word says He is with purer eyes than to behold iniquity, then be sure He would not break His word because of you and I as a result of negligence.
Mark 11:22-24 reads “so Jesus answered and said to them, “Have faith in God. “For assuredly, I say to you, whoever says this mountain, “Be removed and be cast into the sea, and does not doubt in his heart, but believes that those things he says will come to pass, he will have whatever he says.
Jesus said have “Faith in God”; the original translation of that phrase is “have God’s kind of Faith”. The faith that is not moved by circumstances, occurrences and events. To have our faith working for us please note that you do not need a faith as big as a mountain, all you need is a faith as small as the mustard seed. You only need a faith as small as the mustard seed to move a mountain and not a faith as big as a mountain to move a mustard seed. However one
condition must be put in place and that is you must not have any doubt that what you said will come to pass.
Doubt is the reason to a lot of unanswered prayers. If you ever have an oata of doubt in you heart God will not answer you, because He cannot break His word. I believe you have at least a measure of faith, which is sufficient to bring an answer to prayer, that measure was what led you to God in the first place to pray. Since the devil knows that God cannot break His word he swiftly paints the picture of impossibility to your mind to grow the seed of doubt. Immediately you give in, that is the end of the story the answer is stopped.
Please note that when you make request to God, there is a time space wherein the angels of the Most High act to ensure there is a performance of what you have requested in the place of prayers. This time space for manifestation is the period the devil works upon your mind to ensure that you doubt hence preventing the angels of God from achieving what they ought to have achieved. Luke 1:11-20 narrates the story of Zechariahs who received direct message from the angel Gabriel that his wife was going to conceive a baby and give birth even at old age. Before now I believe they must have requested the Lord to give them a child years earlier until doubt came in and they never believed God for it again. Luke 1:18 reads And Zechariahs said to the angel, “How shall I know this?
For I am an old man, and my wife is well advance in years. He doubted the word of the Lord. This led to an angel giving a word that “you will be mute and not able to speak until the day these things take place because you did not believe my words which will be fulfilled in their own time. Please note that when you doubt God, you drop from you exalted position. The scripture tells us that angels are ministering spirit to minister to us the saints but because of doubt, the lesser (Angel Gabriel) passed judgment on the greater. This is indeed what happens when we doubt God in the place of prayer. Please do not allow your prayers to be hindered by doubt. Doubt is indeed an enemy to our
prayers being answered. Shalom!
