The original design of God for all His children is to have dominion and so it was from the beginning. When God created Adam and Eve, He gave them absolute dominion over everything He created. Dominion over the fish of the sea, the birds of the air and even over everything that creeps upon the surface of the earth. Nothing was exempted. Gen. 1:28 reads; then God blessed them, and God said to them, “Be fruitful and multiply; fill the earth and subdue it; have dominion over the fish of the sea, over the birds of the air, and over every living thing that moves on the
earth. Man indeed had absolute dominion. Even the wild animals which today lives in the forest or caged in the zoo lived among men without any fear or reservation from men. They were subject to the dominion of man.

However, not quite long after creation, man lost the dominion as a result of the sin of disobedience. Anytime a man lives in disobedience or sin he loses his dominion. After man sinned, the dominion and the glory that comes along with it left him hence everything changed from what it originally was from the beginning. From that time of fall, God has been seeking avenues to restore man but none went through perfectly until He came in the flesh to redeem man.

John 1:1 & 14 reads In the beginning was the Word and the Word was with God and the Word was God. Verse 14 reads “And the Word became flesh and dwell among us,……. God the Word had to take upon Him human flesh to redeem man to that position of Dominion earlier lost.

John 1:12 further reads that “But as many as received Him to them He gave right to become children of God, even to those who believe in His name:

This is to say as long as you believe in the Word {God the Son), you are entitled to dominion. Please that it simply means that you have the right to dominion.

Please note that the right to dominion belongs to us all who believe in the Word and it is made available to us all. But I have come to realize that not all believers walk and live in absolute dominion. Some have dominion over their finances but not their health and vise-versa. Some have dominion when it comes to their finances but not in their marriage life while some have dominion over the devil and its demons however when it comes to other areas of life there is nothing to write home about. This is not the design of God as it relates to dominion because God desires
us to have all round dominion in every area of our lives as it was from the beginning. Friends this is achievable only when we know the Word that is Jesus.

Many of us know the person of Jesus but we do not know the principles of Jesus. We know His person as the holy and righteous one full of power, grace and truth who dwells in the midst of indescribable light that cannot be beheld by any mortal man. This is good as the person of Jesus help us to live an upright and straight life without sin. The knowledge of His person makes us live in fear and reverence of Him. He is an awesome God. Beloved, this is not the end of it all, we must be able to know the principles of the Word so that we can live a victorious and ever winning
life. To have all round dominion actualized in our lives, then we must key in into the principles made available to us. Take for instance, for the fact that you know the person Jesus will not automatically give you dominion over your finances and remain victorious over your finances at all times; you must act on the principles of Jesus. The principle of giving and receiving bearing in mind that it is the same measure you give so shall it be given back to you which is to mean that you can determine your harvest at the point of sowing. Remember seed time and harvest time shall
not cease. The principle of investment as laid down in the word. Do you want to have friends that last, then the Word reveal that he that wants friends should make himself friendly. You can not be breaking the principle by quarrelling with everyone you meet and expect to keep a relationship. It will certainly not work. Do you desire to be in health, then keep the word in your system, the book of proverb says, they are life to those who find them and health (medicine) to all their flesh. You cannot have God’s Word in the volumes within your body (mind) and sickness will
co-habit with them. Light and darkness cannot stay together. Beloved there are lots of principles in the Word that ought to be activated which if not will surely bring no benefit. God want us to have all-round dominion however it can only be achieved if we know the principle of the word. Shalom!
