Life is in phases and men are in sizes, the beauty of life is when you know your phase and appreciate your size, then life is well appreciated in it’s fullness. When the phase, which we are, is noted and appreciated then the desire to reach the next phase becomes a pleasure. This makes life interesting and full of fun.
Many times our quest for an immediate instant end without going through the phases of life puts us under undue pressure, which eventually leads to hard life.
The bible says in 2 Cor.10:12; For we dare not class ourselves or compare ourselves with those who commend themselves. But they measuring themselves by themselves, and comparing themselves among themselves, are not wise.
It’s rather unfortunate that in the body of Christ, many people have fallen victim of comparism. Some compare on the platform of wealth acquired, forgetting that a man can receive nothing except he be given from above. Some compare one church to another forgetting that it is the most High that determines it’s audience. Some even go ahead to compare children with children, still forgetting that children are a gift from above. All those and many other comparism are things that leads to unnecessary hard life being introduced into the life of many.
However, this is not the desire of God for any of His children because He has individual plan for us all. Please take time to look at the lines on your palms, you would realize that there is non that is the same in pattern with another person. Even the thumbprints of the most identical twins are never the same. The plan of God for each of His children is unique and beautiful. It is an enviable one, that is why no one at anytime should compare his or herself with any other person. Always note that you are the best God has ever created.
Jesus said in Matt 6:25 “Therefore I say to you, do not worry about your life, what you will eat or what you will drink; nor about your body, what you will put on. Is not life more than food and the body more than clothing? Look at the birds of the air, for they neither sow nor reap nor gather into barns; yet your heavenly father feeds them. Are you not of more value than they?
If Jesus says do not worry and you now choose to worry because of the things you see around you then you would have yourself to blame for making life difficult and unpleasant for yourself. Always note that where you are today is another man’s dream. There is someone out there looking at you appreciating what God is doing in your life, wishing he is directly in your present position today. Hard life must cease and the only way is to obey the word of Jesus as He said the birds of the air they neither sow nor reap nor gather into barns yet your heavenly father feeds them. If your heaven father cares so much for the bird of the air then you can be sure that it is because of you that God neither slumber nor sleep.
Life is too short than to live it with anxiety. Whatever you desire today may sooner than later become obsolete and above all one day you would definitely leave it behind in this world. So why worry about life. No wonder Solomon in all his wisdom and wealth, after exploring into all things man may probably think of at the close of His life said, “Vanity upon vanity, all is vanity. You wake early in the morning set out; strive to be this or that yet at the close of
it all you leave it behind. Please don’t get me wrong, it is good to be up and doing, there is great joy in fulfillment and achievement of goals but while you are yet to achieve your goals, do not allow it to make you sad, neither should you allow it to introduce hard life into your life, Just as it is good to save to attain some desired goals, but do not do it at the detriment of your basic welfare. Is it wealth, remember it is God that give power to make wealth but not at the detriment of the other persons soul and welfare.
Friends, hard life must cease, for God does not want it for any of His children and it’s our responsibility to note that we His children must likewise ensure that hard life does not become our portion. Relay on Gods word to make the difference in your life. Hard life must cease. Shalom.
